Coach Victoria

Hi, I’m Victoria, I’m 28 years old, and I’m from Long Beach, California! I am proud to coach many programs at Precizion 509, from parent and tot, preschool, and rec classes to being an assistant coach for the XCEL Gold and Platinum team. I also help out with special events and in the front office!

I started gymnastics when I was three years old, and it’s been a part of my life ever since! I began competing with a YMCA program at age ten, reaching Level 9 by the end of high school.  In my two years as a Level 9, I achieved the title of All-American at YMCA Nationals, placing in the top 10 of the Championship division (Level 9&10). After high school I went on to become a professional sports photographer with a company that shoots gymnastics and diving competitions nation-wide. Fun fact: I photographed Simone Biles at her Elite qualifier meet in 2011! I started coaching gymnastics during college and realized how passionate I was about not just doing, but teaching the sport!

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelors in Art (photography) and a minor in Communication. In 2017 I married my college sweetheart while he was serving in the Marine Corps. After he finished his tour, we went overseas as missionaries but were brought home after eight months due to COVID-19. We are so happy that we moved to Colorado Springs, and are proud to call it home.

I still love practicing gymnastics and am amazed at what my body can still do after being retired for ten years! Some passions I have outside the gym are snowboarding, baking, reading, and line dancing. I’m overjoyed at the opportunity to invest in the future generations here at P509. I believe as a coach I can have a huge impact on what kids think about themselves and what they’re capable of, which is why you’ll hear my kids say, “We are strong, we are brave, and we are kind” at the beginning of all the classes I coach. I believe these three things are foundational to being a well-rounded and confident individual, which I hope to instill in every kid I get to coach.
